Introducing the Loganbuilt adjustable traction bar conversion kit! This kit is designed for to convert your caltrac equipped leaf spring truck over to traction bars with 7 adjustable chassis side location points to tune in the "instant center" like a traditional 4 link. Traction bars are ideal for leaf spring trucks, especially 4WD trucks because the chassis needs to be able to compress (squat) in order to create proper weight transfer and tire control to keep the truck from hopping or bouncing while preventing axle wrap. Any anti axle wrap that uses a roller on top of the leaf spring (such as caltracs) will not allow the chassis to compress. The leverage from the lower bar pushes the roller against the spring causing the chassis to separate (extend). While this works very well for 2wd radial tire cars, it resist the natural weight transfer a 4wd truck creates, driving the tire too hard into the pavement and causing a rebound effect. The traction bar design allows the chassis to compress freely while still preventing axle wrap. The adjustable mounting holes allow you to lower the bars for more squat, or raise them for less squat. This allows you to tune the chassis to your specific truck's needs. This is further complimented when purchasing a set of our custom valved Santhuff shocks further increasing tuneability and performance. This kit has netted us a 1.28 60' with Jordan Newman's Outlaw 5.90 truck. This kit is the closest you'll get to a 4 link with out the significant cost difference of the 4 link conversion. There is absolutely a time and a place for a 4 link, but if you have a Seventy 2 Fast truck or a 4x4 truck heavier than 4500lbs, It is of my experience that you are not leaving any 60' on the table with a properly tuned leaf spring set up.
