47RH 47RE 48RE This shaft is the best bang for your buck bellow 1000hp! Just like the Goerend 35 spline shaft, this oem size 23 spline shaft is made from the same 300M one piece forging undergoing austempering heat treat as well as shot peen and polishing. In non lock up applications such as Jordan Newman's outlaw 5.70 truck, we have ran over 1300hp through this shaft with 0 failures! In a traditional lock up 47/48 in a 2nd or 3rd gen ram truck, I rate this shaft safe up to 1000hp. Beyond that you will need to go with the 35 spline kit. If you are building a 48 to swap into your 4th gen truck and plan on making over 700hp, i would highly recommend purchasing the 35 spline input kit. Due to the much heavier weight, larger tires and taller gear ratios of these trucks, I have seen ANY 23 spline input fail before reaching the 1000hp threshold. This shaft is an OEM spline size and count so you will not need a converter with an aftermarket turbine hub. You can run this input shaft with both single and triple disc converters.
